Before coming to the Emerald pool and Blue pool, you should stop by Hot Spring to soak in the clear natural hot springs in the middle of the rainforest. Hot Spring has a temperature of 35-40 degrees, famous for its natural mineral salt layer that can cure diseases such as rheumatism and sciatica. However, you should only soak for 10-20 minutes.
4. Emerald Pool Krabi
After relaxing with Hot Spring, you can continue to move to the area with Emerald pool a few kilometers away. There are three nature trails that lead to this charming The Emerald Pool:
– The first is an 800 meter road directly from the main entrance, this is the shortest road which has a mesmerizing scenery because of its rich green color.
– The second is through Thung TieoSa Morakot point, which is about 1400 meters long and more challenging. It’s ideal for birdwatchers and nature lovers. This road is a bit bumpy and difficult to go as to test your resilient will, but in return for your sweat, the nature here gives you extremely wonderful scenery.
– The third trail is the longest at almost three kilometers, and is a beautiful nature trail through the forest. For those who are adventurous, this is an interesting option.
Emerald pool is divided into 3 lakes: Sa Kaew, Sa Morakot and Sa Nam Pud. This area is surrounded by jungle with many interesting plants. To go inside, you should follow the usual instructions, and you can follow the natural path on the way back. Your route will look like a circle. Along the shady nature trail, there are not only interesting plants, but also rare birds such as gurneys, pittas, ferocious gobys, black hornbills.
Once you reach the Emerald pool, feel free to immerse yourself in its fresh and cool water, which originates from an underground stream Khao Nor Juji. Minerals present in the water stream are said to be very good for health. Here, you can enjoy swimming with small fish or sitting under the rapids to let the water massage your body.
One thing that is particularly interesting is the color of the water at The Emerald. Hardly anyone can read the exact name of the watercolor here. The color of the water changes according to the reflection of sunlight at different times of the day. When the temperature is high, the water will be jade green, when the temperature is low, the water will turn blue as shown.
To experience the most intense emerald color, arrive at dawn or as early in the morning as possible. You can also admire the lush forest with ancient trees reaching high into the sky, unusual forest creatures and limestone foothills open to a dazzling emerald lake. All those scenes create a miniature paradise in the middle of a peaceful place in Krabi.

But do not be in a hurry to let the emerald green color of the Emerald Pool fascinate and forget that upstream there is the most beautiful jewel of the forest, the Blue Pool.
Blue Pool (blue lake) is “hidden” by nature in the forest. From Emerald Pool, you need to walk another 400m along a signposted trail under dense forest trees to reach Blue Pool. You will not be allowed to swim here because this lake is really very deep and potentially dangerous at the bottom of the lake.
The blue water color of Blue Pool makes this place mysterious and is the most attractive point here. The blue color of the water in the middle of the lake seems to be reaching out forever to touch the green trees that are leaning down on the water. Somewhere, the sound of birds chirping among the trees, a strange feeling of clarity…
