Hope this desserts list will help you avoid the heat in summer of Siem Reap 😀
Quick Navigation
1. Shaved Ice with ice cream and fresh fruits at The Café Khmer Time
Location: On, the main road to, Angkor, Wat, Charles de Gaulle Boulevard, Krong Siem Reap, Cambodia (Google Maps)
Opening hours: 9:30 AM to 7:00 PM
Price range: 1 – 5 USD for single or set (See menu below)
Recommend: Tropical Set or Healthy Set
See more at website
If you visit Siem Reap in April to enjoy Water Fight Festival for Cambodian New Year, you must want to find something cold to avoid the heat. The Café Khmer Time is a perfect option in this case.

Mango Shaved Ice with ice cream and tropical fruits is their best seller (Tropical set) and I highly recommend you to try this. If you go there alone and feel that it’s too much for you, I recommend you to try mango smoothies.

The only minus point of this shop is, the space with Air conditioner is so small. I went there at noon and really remembered the heat was 38 degree and did not expect that I have to seat outside. However, it became cool down immediately when I was served by their dessert XD
I ordered Healthy Set including 1 Lemongrass Iced Tea and 1 Shaved Ice with Lemon Ice cream on top mixed with so many fresh tropical fruits such as mango, orange, passion fruits and watermelon.

2. Rolled ice-cream at Angkor Night Market
Location: Everywhere along Angkor Night Market Street
Opening hours: 6:00 PM – 2:00 AM
Price: 3-4 USD for a cup of ice cream (they normally public the price 1 USD but it’s not)
I was very surprised because there are so many many ice cream stand-stalls along the way, every 5m you will find one shop. The taste is not so special but not bad, it’s good to have a cup of ice-cream when you are tired and getting hot because of walking and hot weather.

I ordered Strawberry Ice-cream rolls and it’s delicious!
3. Smoothies and smoothies in a stand-stall at all street
Location: Angkor Night Market (in the opposite of Old Market)
Opening hours: 9:00 AM – 1:00 AM
Price: 1-2 USD See menu below
Similar as Rolled ice-cream stand-stall, you can find smoothies shop every where in Siem Reap. From 1-3 USD, you can have one cool fresh smoothies. I’ve noticed that Cambodian does not sell fruit juice, they even make coconut smoothies.

The seller is very kind and generous, he gave me 2 mangos when I bought 2 cup of smoothies. The next day, I came to his shop again and he also gave 2 of big fresh watermelon XD

4. Ice cream at Gelato Lab (and checkin at Umbrella Lined Street)
Location: House # 11, Mondol 1 Village Siem Reap, 17252, Cambodia (Google Maps)
Opening hours: 9:00 AM to 11:30 PM
Price: 2-5 USD

Coming to Siem Reap, so many people gave compliments for Gelato Lab as Best Ice-cream ever in Asia. The shop is located in a small lane but it was cute! (Don’t forget to look up to the sky when you visit here – a line of the colorful umbrella will make you take a picture)

5. Ice cream and coffee at The Blue Pumpkin
Location: Angkor Night Market Street, Steung Thmei, Krong Siem Reap 17252, Cambodia (Google Maps)
Opening hours: 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM
Price: 2-3 USD for Ice cream and 2-5 USD for drink
Large space to relax after walking around Angkor Night Market. This shop provides good coffee and ice-cream was not so bad!

Hope this list helps your trip more easily to go! And don’t forget to visit some attractive destinations in Siem Reap – Cambodia!
Cheers,
